Hold down the CTRL, ALT and DELETE at the same time, Task Manager will show you what works and what resources they use.

Open Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL), then go to the Processes tab called, that you say that you take the RAM and the amount.

The higher the number, the used memory. A procedure is complete, simply select the program you are finished, and the last process, click on. A word of warning if you could accidentally end of an important process to do this with Windows you end sodomy computer, you can also open the Task Manager by pressing CTRL-SHIFT-ESC

If you must go through a process to ensure it is not:
csrss.exe
Dwm.exe
explorer.exe
nvvsvs.exe
taskhost.exe
taskmgr.exe
winlogon.exe
